Nashville, Tenn. Dec. 2, 2010... Six time GRAMMY® winner Amy Grant’s single “Better Than A Hallelujah” off of her latest release, Somewhere Down the Road, earned a GRAMMY ® nomination on Wed. evening. The song written by Sarah Hart and Chapin Hartford received a nod in the “Best Gospel Song” category. The 53rd Annual GRAMMY ® Awards will take place on Sun. Feb. 13, 2011 at 8pm ET/PT on CBS. The awards will be held in Los Angeles at the Staples Center.

“I am thrilled to see ‘Better Than A Hallelujah,’ and its creators Sarah Hart and Chapin Hartford receiving this recognition from the music community,” adds Grant. “I remember the very first time I ever heard the song. It had been sent to me in an email and I sat at my computer hitting replay time after time. The gentle, redemptive and poignant lyrics washed over me and I was so thankful to the songwriters for the scenarios their word pictures painted. I am humbled and honored to have been the one to get to record this song.“

The platinum selling artist will embark on “The Twelve Days of Christmas” tour later this month with husband Vince Gill, and then join Michael W. Smith for the multi-city “2 Friends” tour in early 2011. Visit www.amygrant.com for the latest touring information.
